Generation 1: Albert Savastio married Maria Vittoria Venditti (b. about 1906 in Italy) daughter of Michele & Angela (Leonardi) Venditti). They had:

Capt. Dino Salvatore Savastio Obituary

Savastio - Dino Salvatore, 87, of Frederick, MD died Monday, November 3, 2008 in New Bern, NC. He was the husband of Helen O'Neill Savastio. Born February 20, 1921 in Campotasso, Italy, he was the son of Albert and Vittoria Venditti Savastio. Mr. Savastio was a graduate of the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point, NY, class of 1943. He retired as vice-president of Moore McCormick Lines in New York where he sailed as Captain for over 20 years. He was a resident of Long Island from 1931 until 1984. In addition to his wife, Mr. Savastio is survived by his daughter, Victoria Lagdon and husband Richard Harry, Jr., of Frederick; two step-sons, Robert A. Lyons of Orlando, FL and John J. Lyons of CA; one brother, Salvatore Sevastio of Carlsbad, CA and two grandsons, Richard H. Lagdon, III and Daniel John Lagdon. Capt. Sevastio crossed the final bar November J'd in New Bern, NC. He is survived by his wife Helen, daughter Victoria and her husband Richard, step-sons Robert and John, grandsons Richard and Daniel and brother Salvatore.

Capt. Savastio was a 1943 graduate of the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, Kings Point and a Vice-President of Moore McCormack Lines for whom he sailed as captain for twenty years. He became a Regular member of the Marine Society of the City of New York in J971 and was appointed to the Standing Committee in July 1979. During his time with the Standing Committee Capt. Savastio served as Treasurer from 1981 until his retirement from the Committee in January 1983.

Helen D. (O'Neill) Savastio Obituary

Mrs. Helen D. Savastio, 91, of Frederick, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2010, at Homewood Nursing Home in Hanover, Pa. She was the wife of the late Captain Dino S. Savastio.
Born March 16, 1919, in New York City, she was the daughter of the late John and Ann Jones O'Neill.
She was a mother of three children, Robert A. Lyons Jr. of Orlando, Fla., John J. Lyons of California, and her daughter, Victoria Lagdon; son-in-law, Richard H. Lagdon Jr. of Middletown; and four grandchildren, Peter Lyons, Susan Lyons Chaney, Richard H. Lagdon III and Daniel J. Lagdon.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 22, at Keeney and Basford, P.A., Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick. The Rev. Richard Gray from St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church will officiate. Interment will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick.
