1990 ADAMS-MCKAIN REUNION
CENTENNIAL FARM CELEBRATION

40 members attended the 71st reunion, August 5, 1990 at reserved site #5, Prairie View Park, Portage, Michigan. George Adams, President called the business meeting to order. Elected officers are: President: George Adams, Game chairpersons: David and Keri Rendleman: and Secretary-Treasurer: Barbara Gale. Barbara reminded the group to provide addresses, family data, and pictures. It was decided to reserve site #5 Prairie View Park for 8/4/91 at 12:00 noon.

$280.00 was collected ($20.00 household) which brings the total cash on hand to $358.27 before disbursements. 1988, 1989, and 1990 bills of $302.24 were paid leaving $56.03 on hand before 8/4/91 collection. It was suggested each household pay $20.00 at the 1991 reunion to cover expenses and to contribute to the 75th reunion in 1994.

Clare Adams Price and Justin Alan, the son of David and Keri (Adams) Rendleman, were the oldest and the youngest members present. Justin is the grandson of Daniel and Pamela Adams. Robert Kunce came the farthest from Gilchrist, Texas. Robert is the son of William and Helen (Adams) Kunce and the grandson of George and Effa May Adams.

The Uriah M. Adams farm where Rolland Morse, son of Francis and Dorothy (Adams) Morse currently lives, has been designated as a Centennial Farm by the State of Michigan. Francis and Rolland were given flowers and a cake saying "Adams Centennial Farm -- Uriah -- Jane -- 125 Years" which they and a small group presented to Dorothy at home. Bruce and Donna Morse flew from Florida for Reunion but weather delayed their arrival so they were at Francis and Dorothy's home.

After Robert gave the blessing, the group enjoyed a bountiful potluck dinner, visited and read family letters while the children played games and went swimming.

Barbara Gale
